The wild adventures of an unconventionally talented clan unfold in this Masterpiece Theatre drama, based on the acclaimed autobiography of naturalist Gerald Durrell (Eugene Simon). Moving to the Greek island of Corfu proves a boon for young Gerald, who begins collecting an assortment of exotic pets. Meanwhile, his older brother Larry (Matthew Goode) collects fodder for his future career as a famous novelist. Imelda Staunton co-stars.
