After enduring a horrific terrorist attack on a Milan train, English writer Mrs. Delahunty (Maggie Smith) opens the doors of her Italian villa to her fellow survivors of the incident: a young American girl (Emmy Clarke), a British gent (Ronnie Barker) and a German man (Benno Furmann). As a detective (Giancarlo Giannini) unravels the cause of the tragedy, the survivors bond -- until they're interrupted by the girl's boorish uncle (Chris Cooper).
