Mysterious Mr. Wong

  (1935)
In this campy favorite from the 1930s, Bela Lugosi plays Mr. Wong, a Chinatown shopkeeper who doesn't mind resorting to murder to complete his collection of the Twelve Coins of Confucius -- which, according to legend, will make him ruler of a Chinese province. But Mr. Wong's plans may be doomed when a reporter (Wallace Ford) begins investigating the killings. Over-the-top performances and blatant racism put this in the so-bad-it's-good section.
