This nontraditional Western crosses over to another genre, the thriller, to tell the tale of deranged rancher Henry Steele (Charles Middleton), who terrorizes his Arizona neighbors in an effort to increase his vast land holdings. Steele enlists the aid of murderous Apaches willing to do his bidding, but after yet another killing, Ranger Bob Sanborn (George O'Brien) rides to the rescue, ready to put a stop to Steele's bloody reign.
