After hearing Rahul (Hrithik Roshan) on a call-in radio show, Esha (Esha Deol) begins an anonymous correspondence with him. The two soon fall in love through their letters, though they've never met and don't even know each other's names. But when arrangements are made for Esha to marry Akshay (Saif Ali Khan), Rahul's best friend, the situation becomes complicated in this romantic Bollywood musical.
