In 1975, naturalist E.O. Wilson revealed a concept called sociobiology that made him a lightning rod for controversy. This episode of PBS's "Nova" follows Wilson's path from authority on ants to Pulitzer Prize-winning evolutionary biologist. Does his hypothesis that evolution affects social behavior in every species, including man, follow in Darwin's footsteps, or is it, as critics claim, an argument for eugenesis? Actor Harrison Ford narrates.
