The steely Ned Blessing (Brad Johnson), a rancher who gave up his old life after the tragic deaths of his wife and child (an event he's still struggling to come to peace with), makes a fateful return to Plum Creek to see what's happened since his departure. Not surprisingly, as lot has changed, as the Wild West continues to get wilder still with the help of bandits and speculators roaming the land in search of victims to hurt and defraud.
