After being saved from an oncoming train while sleepwalking, Sita (Waheeda Rehman) agrees to marry her rescuer, Ram (Manoj Kumar). But wedded bliss is not in the cards for the couple, as Sita's nocturnal wanderings take her far afield, arousing the suspicions of the household. The situation grows more complicated when Ram discovers that his wife's nightly journeys may have something to do with a past life -- and an undying love.
