High-tech crime meets low-tech sleuthing in this action thriller as enterprising software pirate Kurt Bishop (Andrew McCarthy) tries to filch a valuable encryption program, and grizzled detective David Marx (Rutger Hauer) has to update his old-school methods to capture the thief. Sexy computer maven Kris Paddock (Tara Fitzgerald) assists Marx in tracking down Bishop, but the pursuit takes on increased urgency after the criminal abducts Paddock.
