Set against the backdrop of the 1992 L.A. riots, Next Time tells the story of an inter-racial relationship between two down-on-their luck people--a 19 year old boy trying to make it as an artist, and a woman in her forties just trying to survive. They meet every Saturday night at a local Laundromat in South Central L.A.
