No Man of Her Own
(1932)|
On the run from the law, gambling man Babe Stewart (Clark Gable) hides out in upstate New York. There he falls for librarian Connie Randall (Carole Lombard), and the two marry and return to the Big Apple. Babe wants to get back in the game, but his former flame Kay Everly (Dorothy Mackaill), jealous over his new romance, wants to turn him in to the cops. This romantic farce marked the only on-screen pairing of famed couple Gable and Lombard.
