No Subtitles Necessary: Laszlo & Vilmos
(2008)|
After improbably chronicling the Hungarian Revolution of 1956, young filmmakers László Kovács and Vilmos Zsigmond fled their homeland and ended up in America, where the pals became two of the movie industry's most influential cinematographers. This documentary is both a portrait of a decades-long friendship and a visual road trip through the great films of the 1960s and '70s, including Easy Rider, Five Easy Pieces, Deliverance and Paper Moon.
