When small-town girl Hazel Flagg (Carole Lombard) mistakenly believes that she's dying of radium poisoning, she's brought to the big city and turned into a media darling by exploitative journalist Wally Cook (Fredric March). The two fall in love, and once the truth about Hazel's condition is revealed, it's too late to stop the presses or their feelings in this screwball comedy classic from Hollywood's Golden Age.
