Situated within ancient Buddhist monasteries high in the Himalayas are sacred Tibetan works of art that date back to the 13th century. Years of neglect and bad weather have seriously damaged these masterpieces, but a Western conservation team travels to the remote region with the hope of saving them. Ancient history, modern science and politics all come together as Eastern and Western cultures collide. Liev Schreiber narrates this "Nova" program.
