Smith -- whose hits include "Little Green Apples," "Daddy's Little Man" and "The Son of Hickory Holler's Tramp" -- delivers his trademark blend of jazz and rhythm-and-blues in this 1980 performance filmed as part of the "Ad Lib" TV series. Guests Scatman Crothers and pianist Judy Carmichael accompany the Grammy-nominated Smith in the set, which features Crothers' composition "Mean Dog Blues" and Carmichael's "Viper's Drag."
