In veteran director Raoul Walsh's classic World War II drama, Errol Flynn shines as the commander of a contingent of American paratroopers dropped into the Burmese jungle to wipe out a key Japanese radar center. But after accomplishing their mission, the unit runs into a bundle of trouble on the way back to base camp. The film received Oscar nominations for Best Original Story and Franz Waxman's stirring score.
