Luke (Eric Mabius) and Nicole (Marley Shelton) are robbed of all their money while passing through a small border town on the way to California. Desperate for cash, Luke starts smuggling illegal immigrants over the Mexican border. But he soon realizes that he can't trust the men he's working for, and a local cop (R. Lee Ermey) begins to keep a very close eye on him. Elizabeth Peña co-stars in this action-packed drama.
