An attempt to atone for the accidental death of a young mother leads to family strife in this 1985 Bollywood tale. After killing a woman in a car crash, Vikram (Pradeep Kumar) takes in her son, Raju (Rajesh Khanna), but Vikram's son, Maan (Danny Denzongpa), considers Raju an intruder and makes him a lowly stable boy when his father dies. To make matters worse, Raju is in love with his adopted sister … for which he pays dearly when Maan finds out.
