With the lush sounds of Glenn Miller's orchestra as the backdrop, this drama chronicles the complicated love affair between Connie (Ann Rutherford), a big-hearted woman from a small town, and Bill (George Montgomery), a jaded, big-city trumpet player. At first, the situation seems idyllic as Connie accompanies Bill as he tours with the band, but life on the road begins to take its toll, leaving their relationship in tatters.
