Former NFL star John Bookman (Fred Williamson) returns to his hometown of Gary, Indiana, after a 15-year absence -- outraged after learning that an ultra-violent gang has killed his father for talking to the police about a murder they committed. The fact that John founded the gang in the first place doesn't matter; this means war. Jim Brown, Pam Grier, Ron O'Neal and Richard Roundtree co-star in this blaxploitation classic.
