Four Scottish siblings come together to bury their mother. Against the backdrop of Scotland's largest city, Glasgow, they define dysfunction. Thomas (Gary Lewis) keeps vigil , Sheila (Rosemarie Stevenson) is at Thomas's mercy, Michael (Douglas Henshall) has marital issues and John (Stephen McCole) becomes violent. Peter Mullan (My Name is Joe) directs this dark yet funny film from his own screenplay.
