Hard-core anime fans, known as "otaku", share an obsessive devotion to the distinctive style of Japanese animation, and it seems they'll do just about anything to pursue their passion -- including starting their own fan clubs and dressing up as their favorite characters. In this fascinating documentary, director Eric Bresler explores the phenomenon of anime fandom and probes what prompts people to obsess to excess.
