After serving time for the accidental murder of a cop's wife, reformed ex-con Ray Frye (Scott Leet) sets out to make a new life. Unfortunately, things aren't that simple: A deranged detective, Jack Braken (Mickey Rourke), keeps pestering him and pushing to get him back in the slammer. Meanwhile, a strange and sexy woman named Lila (Christina Applegate) seems to have other plans for our hero.
