Shot on location, this version of Benjamin Britten's opera is set in the 1950s. Margaret Williams directs this saga about pacifist Owen Wingrave (Gerald Finley), who disgraces his military family by refusing to serve in the armed forces. The production features Peter Savidge, Hilton Marlton, Ann Dawson, Myfanwy Piper, Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin and the Westminster Cathedral Choir Choristers. A bonus film chronicles Britten's life.
