When he discovers that his employer is cheating the workers, white-collar professional Ratan (Dilip Kumar) starts a labor union, but Ratan's blue-collar brother Ram (Raaj Kumar), who works for the same company, stands by his boss and fights against the union. Soon, the conflict drives the brothers apart and wrecks their families. Can they reconcile and join forces before their boss's manipulations destroy them entirely?
