From anime innovator Satoshi Kon comes this unique, 13-episode television series intended for mature audiences. The Tokyo populace goes into panic mode after a string of seemingly random attacks by a bat-wielding lad on golden roller blades. As a pair of detectives probing the case attempt to discover whether the youngster is real or a malevolent specter, they become absorbed in an intricate web of circumstances and characters.
