Party Monster: The Shockumentary

  (1998)
This sometimes-gruesome -- but engrossing -- documentary, a 1998 Sundance Film Festival entry, traces the path that club-kid-gone-bad Michael Alig followed as he went from being one of New York's most famous party promoters to a drug-addled murderer. Features include a prison interview with Alig and a short film about videographer Nelson Sullivan, who covered the scene that spawned such creative personalities as Madonna and artist Jeffrey Koons.
