That's what Porter (Mel Gibson) is left asking after his wife (Deborah Kara Unger) and partner (Gregg Henry) steal his heist money and leave him for dead -- or so they think. But he turns up five months and an endless reservoir of bitterness later. Porter's partners and the crooked cops on his tail soon learn how bad payback can be.
