When parents Alison (Susannah Harker) and Stuart (Christopher Eccleston) learn that their 10-year-old daughter Lucy has witnessed a knife attack at school, they immediately decide to place the girl in a competitive Catholic school, even if they must lie about their religion to do so. Unfortunately, what seems to be just a little white lie ends up casting a pall of unimaginable darkness over everyone involved.
