When a championship-bound baseball coach (Patrick Duffy) adds some untalented kids to his roster on a bet, the players see their chance to learn from the master. But Duffy has other plans, which include not letting the new kids play. With the help of a determined mom (Tracy Nelson) and a past-his-prime coach (Ed Asner), the multiracial, co-ed team pulls it together enough to make it to the playoffs.
