Claudio Abbado conducts this moving production of Giovanni Battista Pergolesi's Stabat Mater, recorded live in 1979 in the Abbey Church of Ossiach, Austria, and showcasing soloists Katia Ricciarelli and Lucia Valentini-Terrani. Part of Austria's noted Carinthian Summer Festival, the program also features soloists of the Orchestra del Teatro alla Scalla and performances of Antonio Vivaldi's Concerto in G Minor and Concerto in C Major.
