Peyton Place: Season 1: Part 1

  (1964)
Chronicling the often scandal-filled lives of the residents of a small New England town, this landmark series paved the way for prime-time sudsers to come, such as "Dallas," "Dynasty" and the like. Loosely based on the popular novel by author Grace Metalious, "Peyton Place" was a high ratings earner during its run in the mid-1960s and helped launch the careers of series regulars Ryan O'Neal and Mia Farrow.
