After inheriting his late uncle's ranch -- and the sullied reputation that goes with his land-grabbing uncle's name -- Ken Mitchell (Ken Maynard) dons a mask, straps on his guns and sets out to make amends … as the Phantom Rancher. Worming his way into a band of outlaws, Mitchell soon discovers that a bigwig cattleman (Ted Adams) is the true culprit behind the plan to drive ranchers off their lands. Dorothy Short plays Maynard's love interest.
