Tough, seen-it-all investigator Philip Marlowe (Powers Booth) combs the seedy underbelly of Los Angeles, bringing low-life criminals to justice and trying to stay focused on the jobs at hand. In this collection of Raymond Chandler's short stories, Marlowe finds himself on seedy sidestreets, in smoke-filled barrooms and elegant Hollywood mansions filled with crooked cops, cons, high rollers and low-lifes.
