As an undivided India becomes a thing of the past, rich man and aspiring poet Ramchand (Sanjay Suri) becomes a refugee overnight when the nation is partitioned. Sandali Sinha plays a new bride who must deal with the crisis facing the nation. Puro (Urmila Matondkar) is the victim of a brutal crime by Rashid (Manoj Bajpair). And Priyanshu Chatterjee plays Trilok, a man torn between the upheaval in his family and what's happening to his country.
