In the post-Civil War era, homesteaders John (William Shatner) and Maggie (Joanna Pettet) head west with their son and daughter to start a new life in Wyoming. But when John is killed, Maggie must decide whether to turn back or continue on with only her children to help her. Helen Hunt makes her film debut as Maggie's daughter, and David Janssen, Lance LeGault and Russell Baer co-star in this family-friendly Western.
