This gritty ensemble drama chronicling the off-the-field lives of the owner, players, families and coaches of a fictional professional football team had an avid following in its single season on ESPN. Head coach Mike George (Tony Denison) must parlay a young, cocky running back (Omar Gooding), a competitive aging veteran (Russell Hornsby), an unassuming rising star linebacker Eric Olczyk and other combustible personalities into a winning season.
