When 1950s teenager Jo (Julia Lockwood) publishes a scorching bestseller, her peaceful English town is thrown into an uproar over the thinly veiled references to the residents. As Jo's neighbors begin to look at one another differently, her scandalous writing leads to increasing fame. Based on the play "Book of the Month," this charming comedy comes from Peter Rogers and Gerald Thomas, the team behind the popular British series of Carry On films.
