After leading the authorities to believe he's an Algerian refugee, a North African immigrant (Sami Bouajila) ekes out a living on the streets of Paris with a string of assumed names and illegal jobs. There's something about his daunting personal problems, however, that seems to soothe the unstable women he sleeps with. Tunisian-born writer Abdel Kechiche also directs this drama, set on the fringes of French society.
