In this film based on a true story, dedicated Inspector Khan (Kabir Bedi) investigates the apparent suicide of a young woman whom he believes was actually a murder victim. But while questioning a possible suspect, he's inexplicably yanked off the case. When his corrupt replacement (Naseeruddin Shah) rules it suicide, the grieving and outraged father (A.K. Hangal) of the dead girl joins Khan on a mission of justice for his daughter.
