After witnessing a murder on a train, a young teacher (Lakshmi) reports for her first day of work as a live-in tutor to the daughter of a wealthy man, only to discover that her employer (Rajnikanth) is the killer. Unable to get to the police because she's being kept as his prisoner inside his home, she decides to investigate the crime -- and makes a surprising discovery.
