Following an ancient family custom, young Pournami (Trisha Krishnan) is making preparations to perform a sacred dance at the Lord Shiva temple when she suddenly vanishes. Soon after her disappearance, Shiva Keshav (Prabhas) -- a recent arrival in town -- persuades Pournami's father that his daughter Chandrakala (Charmme Kaur) should take her sister's place. But is Shiva's attraction to Chandrakala motivating him, or does he have another agenda?
