Media consultant Pete St. John (Richard Gere) can package a politician, create a spin and transform an on-camera gaffe into a moment of glory. Representing a variety of sometimes-corrupt clients, the left-leaning St. John checks his values at the door. But when conservative industrialist Jerome Cade (J.T. Walsh) hires St. John to help with his Senate run, the amoral hustler gets more than he bargained for in this hard-edged, political drama.
