An unscrupulous businessman who wants to build a huge office complex tries to force residents out of an old L.A. neighborhood, sending in his goons to "persuade" them and even bribing the police. Enter Jack Manning (Stuart Whitman), an alcoholic ex-cop who was railroaded into jail because he couldn't be bought. Jack just may be the one who can stand up to the bad guys -- with help from an activist who also brings love back into Jack's life.
 Parents strongly cautioned. Some material may be inappropriate for children under 13.
