In this 1993 Bollywood yarn, married college instructor Vidyadhar (Sanjeev Kumar) finds his once-humdrum life anything but dull after winsome actress Menaka Khanna (Padmini Kolhapure) rents the apartment upstairs. Vidyadhar's wife, Shobha (Asha Parekh), doesn't hide her disapproval of Menaka -- who vows to make Shobha sorry and soon makes a play for the professor. When Shobha finds out, Vidyadhar comes up with an unusual way to escape her ire.
