William Shakespeare's tragic tale of star-crossed lovers plays out against a backdrop of beautiful music provided by the Bolshoi Theatre Orchestra in this 1989 ballet production choreographed by Yuri Grigorovich. Though they are born of two warring houses, Romeo (Irek Mukhamedov) and Juliet (Natalya Bessmertnova) are fated to be together. But fulfilling their destiny will bring bloodshed and grief to the land.
