Cartoonist John Callahan crafts a not-so-sunny but nevertheless heartwarming animated tale of an ornery man, Reilly O'Reilly, who turns tragedy into a search for family. Run over by a car and rendered a quadriplegic, his fortunes turn overnight when the rich, guilt-ridden driver bribes him with a mansion, which Reilly proceeds to remake into a home for other handicapped citizens. Soon, it becomes a familial place for all its residents.
