While caring for their cancer-stricken mother (Claudette Maillé) in a Mexican colonial mansion, siblings Helena (Irene Azuela) and Sebastian (Ángel Onésimo Nevares) develop deep feelings for each other. Meanwhile, at school, Sebastian falls for his brutish classmate Juan (Bernardo Benítez). The tenuous emotional balance is further upset when the family takes in a boarder, Aurora (Jessica Segura), in this intimate family drama.
