Presaging a number of medical investigation series, "Quincy" put a new twist on television's crime show genre, using forensic evidence as the jumping-off point. Jack Klugman garnered four Emmy nods as the tenacious Los Angeles coroner who inevitably uncovers the clue everyone else overlooks. Jamie Lee Curtis, Van Johnson, June Lockhart, Kim Cattrall, Buddy Hackett, Donna Mills and Adrienne Barbeau are among the first two seasons' guest stars.
