Quo Vadis

Jerzy Kawalerowicz takes on Nobel Prize winner Henry Sinkiewicz's sweeping saga, famously interpreted in 1951 by Hollywood legend Mervyn LeRoy. It's 64 A.D., and soldier Marcus Vinicius (Pawel Delag) rejoins Petronius (Boguslaw Linda) in Rome after battle. When Marcus grows interested in the charismatic Jesus, he raises Emperor Nero's (Michal Bajor) wrath. This film was nominated for eight Academy Awards in 1952.
